HAmpstead garden suburb
living room renovation
This living room was designed to feel different from the rest of the house.
It’s the second living space in the home: a place for hosting guests or spending relaxed evenings with adult family members.
Originally, the room had plain white walls and didn’t have a clear identity. The client knew they wanted something special, but weren’t sure how to bring it all together.
The blue walls, grey ceiling and lighting at eye level create a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
Can you imagine sitting on two super soft sofas, chatting with your partner, enjoying drinks and snacks?
The TV has a very neat frame, so it doesn’t take too much attention, but you can still enjoy your movie nights here. We used a lot of soft, wavy shapes in this room, as I noticed in our first meeting that the client really liked them.
The layout is centred around seating. This room is all about relaxing, talking and spending time together. I placed the sofas in the centre of the room to make them the focus of the space. At the same time, there is still easy access to the garden — you can grab a book, make a drink and simply enjoy the moment.
The bespoke furniture was designed to display the clients’ drinks collection. The glossy surfaces add a little dynamic touch to the room and bring some energy to the space. The artwork adds freshness and a pinch of brightness to the red colour.
