North London
LIVING ROOM
In this north-facing open-plan living and dining room, muted grey tones and low ceilings made the space feel flat and underused. With a staircase on one side and a garden on the other, it served mostly as a passage rather than a place to gather and relax. The aim was to bring warmth, colour and definition, creating a space that felt inviting throughout the day.
Zoning was achieved through furniture layout, rugs and lighting, giving each area a clear sense of purpose while maintaining flow. Walls, ceilings and staircase were painted in a soft pink-peach hue to blur boundaries and make the room feel taller and more expansive. Accents of terracotta and turquoise add energy and brightness, while plants and garden views connect the interior with nature. The transformation turned a cold, transitional space into a cosy, uplifting room that now feels harmonious and welcoming.
